I have worked with hundreds of athletes on the mental and physical components of their sports, and throughout the years, I’ve noticed the massive need for counseling in sports. That is what led me to this career field today. I have confirmed that many athletes go through ups and downs during their sport journey.
As a Mental Performance Coach Counselor, it is my job to put struggling athletes, from children to adults, back in control of their game and help them learn the mental and emotional skills necessary to set them apart from others. I focus on building up and encouraging their g-esteem, as self-confidence is one of the most important components of great athleticism.
My passion is working with athletes on the mental components of their sport and getting them back on the field feeling more confident and motivated. To learn more about the reasons why athletes need a Mental Performance Trainer, please read My Approach here.
Many children can struggle with the idea of failure, so much that they lose the focus on fun. For child athletes, I offer mental and physical coaching for children ages 6 through 10 in all areas of competitive sports with a focus on having fun.
While pre-teens and teens are getting older, they are still kids. Failure can be difficult for them to overcome. For youth ages 10 to 18, I offer mental and physical coaching in all areas of competitive sports (ex. gymnastics, soccer, basketball, etc.)
A lot of college athletes have scholarships that allow them to attend college. While this seems easy, it can actually be very challenging. Failure in college is expensive and losing that scholarship could be detrimental to a student. The pressure of success can take a toll on mental health. I offer mental performance and sports psychology counseling with collegiate student-athletes in a variety of competitive sports. Focus is individualized on their specific sport.
Life is hard; that’s the reality. If it was easy, it wouldn’t be worth it – nothing easy ever is! However, when life gets you down, you might feel uncertain about the future. Maybe your real-life relationships start to suffer, and you think, “I need some real help, here!” I aid clients in improving their relationships, careers, and day-to-day lives by bringing clarity to your goals and identifying what is holding you back. Your thoughts determine what you want; your actions determine what you get.
